In this Public Hearing, AMLA is consulting on a draft Implementing Technical Standard (ITS) that introduces common formats for the exchange of information between Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs).
About the consultation
The instrument introduces six standard templates for the exchange of information between FIUs on FIU.net, the secure channel for FIU cooperation across the EU. It strengthens the existing system by ensuring that information sent through it is more complete and consistent, addressing the operational gaps and potential delays that inconsistent submissions have caused. The instrument also harmonises key terminology, including terms related to consent for the further use or dissemination of information.
