Nicolas Vasse

On 1 July 2025, the Executive Board appointed Nicolas Vasse as the first Executive Director of AMLA.
With over 20 years of experience across EU agencies, including ESMA and the SRB, he brings extensive expertise in the EU financial regulatory framework, innovation, and the operational management of EU institutions. Prior to this appointment, he served as a Partner at Promontory, where he advised major banks on complex regulatory and supervisory challenges. He also spent more than a decade as Head of Operations at ESMA.
