Public Hearing on draft ITS on FIU and AMLA reporting to the EPPO

Public hearing on draft Implementing Technical Standards under Article 81(1) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1624 and Article 41(2) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1620

  • Public debates

In this Public Hearing, AMLA is consulting on two draft Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) that introduce common formats for reporting suspected offences against the EU's financial interests to the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO).

About the consultation

The first instrument establishes the format Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) must use when reporting findings to the EPPO where analysis reveals reasonable grounds to suspect offences against the EU's financial interests. The second establishes the equivalent format for AMLA, covering findings produced through joint analyses conducted by AMLA together with FIUs. Both introduce a common reporting template and require machine-readable submissions through a secure channel, enabling automatic processing by the EPPO.
