Have your say on AMLA’s work
AMLA organises open public consultations to gather evidence and perspectives from all interested parties before finalising key regulatory products. By participating, you help us enhance the quality, legitimacy and effectiveness of the EU’s AML/CFT framework. Consultations are conducted through AMLA’s website and the EU Survey platform. In addition to written submissions, AMLA may hold public hearings to encourage broad participation; these events complement, but do not replace, the written consultation process. The AMLA Executive Board has issued a Public Statement setting out the principles, scope and modalities governing public consultations.
Who can contribute?
We invite views from all relevant stakeholders, including obliged entities, supervisory authorities, Financial Intelligence Units, public authorities, self-regulatory bodies, international institutions and organisations, civil society organisations, consumer representatives, academia, and investigative journalists.
Transparency and feedback
To promote transparency in its policy making, AMLA publishes consultation responses on its website. In exceptional cases, individual respondents may request for their name not to be published. After each consultation, AMLA publishes a final report summarising the main points raised and outlining how they have been taken into account. Where proposals are substantially revised, AMLA may consult again.
Planned consultations
AMLA launched its first public consultation in mid-December 2025. As AMLA moves towards full operational capacity, it will provide timely updates on upcoming consultations. Each consultation page will clearly indicate the opening and closing dates, along with a direct link to the EU Survey platform for submitting responses.
