    The Council appointed Mr Simonas Krėpšta as AMLA Executive Board Member, effective June 1, 2025. 
    Before this appointment, Mr. Krėpšta served as a Board Member at the Bank of Lithuania, overseeing financial market supervision and digital development. He previously held the position of Chief Economic Adviser to the President of Lithuania, leading the Economic and Social Policy Group.
    He holds a master’s degree in economics (Finance and Banking) from Vytautas Magnus University.
